Title:To come later?
Who: The Tenth Doctor (and the TARDIS), Trunks Briefs (Mirai/Future), others...
What: The TARDIS takes the Doctor where he is needed, not necessarily where he wants to go.
Open/Closed: Closed.
Additional Details:TBD
The TARDIS Sensors indicate Age 787, Planet 4032-877b. More specifically, it's a variant of Earth--not surprising in some ways. But the continents and a map don't match some of the other more modern versions he's been to before. What could be wrong here?
Well, a look-around would tell him that. The city he arrived in looks like its seen better days, to be frank. It's a hive of demolished buildings and streets, debris and abandoned and scrapped vehicles everywhere. While there are hints of greenery, the large city looks like it's not been demolished long enough ago for it to start recovering from inhabitation, but there's certainly no regular inhabitants visible.

Date: 2017-01-26 12:45 am (UTC)With the coordinates locked on the TARDIS makes the gasping wheezing noise that she always makes when disappearing and the same when she reappears - right over Trunks and takes Trunks right into the TARDIS.
"Hallo. Welcome to the TARDIS."

Date: 2017-01-26 01:01 am (UTC)Just as the TARDIS materialized around him too, as wary blue-eyes dart around.
Bulma, once visually assuring he was safe and whole, was all questions however. "Wow!" and she is studying the control panel, and trying to find those stairs the Doctor went down. "She is amazing! I've never seen a machine as advanced as this! We haven't been able to do anything close to this for the last few years either except for the time machine!" Babbling as she goes.
Seeing it was safe (or safer anyways) Trunks re-sheaths his weapon as he stands up. First watching his mother, then studying the Doctor again. There is a deep breath in and out. "Thank you." He is polite, at least. "I'd still like those answers though, starting with what just happened?"
Things materializing around him definitely was a new experience.

Date: 2017-01-26 01:13 am (UTC)Then gives Trunks a silent, 'You're welcome'. "You were materialized inside the TARDIS. I'm The Doctor and I'm from another universe and fell through a crack in time and space when venturing out."
Then eyes at the both of them, "Thar's bedrooms if you'd like to take a nap after all of that." Bunkbeds to be more specific.

Date: 2017-01-26 01:21 am (UTC)"That said, if you want a job you're hired." Turning around, hands on her hips and wide-grin. "This is way beyond even our resizing technology, and we could use help with rebuilding."
Naps? Who had time for naps? Not now! Trunks relaxed his guard some, moving to look around a bit himself. "Tired, not really. Hungry? Absolutely." Which just made Bulma grin more and laugh a bit. "Always your father's appetite huh?"

Date: 2017-01-26 01:48 am (UTC)"Follow me to the kitchen then." The Doctor leads the way, if Bulma or Trunks pass by the control panel screen they'll see the dimensional rift and the appropriate time that it's left open.

Date: 2017-01-26 02:28 am (UTC)Trunks had been following the Doctor and stops with those words, looking at his mother with a questioning look. Bulma just shakes her head, a small smile on her face. "Our friend here, came through a crack in dimensions somehow, and landed here. This is apparently his vehicle for it." Moving to come join the group and head to the kitchen.

Date: 2017-01-26 03:04 am (UTC)There's a slightly sheepish grin on his face at the question. "At the risk of being rude, any and everything." Bulma just chuckles, moving over and hugging her son around the waist. "Saiyans run on their stomachs. Eat, train or fight, sleep." She offered in explanation. "Whatever we consume, you're welcome to replace with what resources we have at Capsule Corp. It's not quite as extravagant as it was, but it's still better than most places now." Some amount of pride there, before she sighs. "We have to find a way to mask the TARDIS's energy signature though, or we'll have that Android finding you again."
Not hard for Bulma to feel Trunks tensing again slightly at her side, before he relaxes and moves to find a seat. "He's definitely as strong as the one that we dealt with in the past. But he's...more single-minded, more robotic. The one that was with 17 and 18, was focused on killing Goku too but was actually pretty friendly and good natured other than that. Eventually he was reprogrammed to be a pacifistic, and enjoyed nature."
Bulma wrapped her arms around herself and chewed on a nail. "I was afraid you'd say that."

Date: 2017-01-26 03:17 am (UTC)"Here you go. Enjoy."
As they're talking he's keeping to himself about the robots - because Daleks. As far as that Android finding The Doctor again - he has a sinking feeling that robots will always find him.
He's just going to be distance with the both of them as they speak and make himself a cup of tea.

Date: 2017-01-26 03:24 am (UTC)Coming over closer, she'll let the back of her brain chew on the idea of reprogramming Android 16, and how to do it. "If it's not trouble, I'd enjoy a cup of tea as well." Gently, as now that the adrenaline's wearing off, she's feeling...exhausted.
Mostly from the emotional whiplash she's had today, along with the excitement. "Before you leave again, let us at least help replace your resources. Maybe we can even help you not get lost next time." Offered quietly, sympathetically.

Date: 2017-01-26 03:35 am (UTC)"Of course, then it was traveling in space to another world, to help out a friend. Not that it was easy, or safe." The tone she uses as she speaks next is peevish, but her expression is fond despite that.
"Did you know, Trunks, that Vegeta threatened and bullied me into finding one of the Namekian dragon balls for him?"
There's a sigh, and a pause with at least most of the turkey gone. "Having met him in the past? I'm not surprised." Bulma chuckles. "Sometimes it's a wonder you were born."
no subject
Date: 2017-01-26 03:49 am (UTC)"Dragon balls?"
Of course, Ten is side-eyeing Bulma and how she ran into her future husband before she was supposed too and she's Trunks is lucky that he was born.
The Doctor seems to withdraw more at this conversation, meaning his aura becoming more and more distant and the hurt starting to appear on his face.

Date: 2017-01-26 03:57 am (UTC)Trunks noticed it too, and paused again. Not eating, just thinking for a moment, before he spoke. "You still feel the loss." Somehow, he was sure he was right about this--even if he didn't know the details. "You tried to push me out of the way, when the ki-blast hit. You weren't surprised at details of the war, slipping into your story so easily." Okay, maybe a hint of suspicion too.
Carefully, gently, Bulma reached out to rest a hand on the Doctor's forearm. "We all got off on the wrong foot. But we understand pain that sticks with you." Soft, offering to listen, as well as to speak. "We can tell you what happened here, if you let us know where the gaps of what you know about our world are."
no subject
Date: 2017-01-26 04:17 am (UTC)"I don't know anything about this place. Nadda. Not a thing."
Hopefully, they don't ask him to open up, after all - they're not sticking around and it's bad enough right now that they're still around him.
"It might... Might be a good idea for both of you to go."
no subject
Date: 2017-01-26 04:26 am (UTC)"Or reprogram 16... Or destroy him." Trunks said with determination, the turkey entirely gone and the meatloaf being started in on. "We suspected there was at least one more lurking around, but hadn't been able to find the lab's location."
Clear enough that they were actually worried about him and his ship.

Date: 2017-01-26 07:54 pm (UTC)"I can't stay. I shouldn't be involved with you as I already am. I'm not from here. And the less we know about each other the better."
Even if Ten would love to have a travel companion once more, "I can't ask either of you to travel with me either. It's very unlikely that you'd ever come back."
Which that is that and Ten moves to a corner of the kitchen far from both of them.

Date: 2017-01-26 08:34 pm (UTC)But when he starts to push them away, she turns to look at the Doctor. Studying him, eyes narrowing a bit as she thought. "You have no idea what we're capable of here, do you?" A hint of challenge in her tone. "Would you even want either of us traveling with you?"
It's rhetorical, and she shoots a look at Trunks who had started to ask a question. He knows that look, and applies himself instead to that delicious steak. Satisfied, Bulma gives her full-attention to the Doctor. "You're already involved, and so are we. We're also used to beings not being from here."
Pointing at Trunks again, who was studiously ignoring the attention. "His father was an alien, one of 2 last full-blooded ones. We also had other aliens on this planet. We've dealt with demons, and devils as well. Killer robots, dinosaurs, madmen trying to take over the world, and gods." Crossing her arms over her chest, she raises an eyebrow at him in challenge.

Date: 2017-01-26 08:55 pm (UTC)"You belong in this universe. I don't."
Ten eyes over at Trunks about his father being one of the last two with very deep and personal sympathy and then at Bulma.
Then the sympathy and sadness seem to fade because both of them sound like they have makings of companions, "Sounds like you both have quite the adventures." The Doctor grins.

Date: 2017-01-26 09:05 pm (UTC)Fond tone there, and fond memories. That had been when she'd met Goku. It had changed her life, and they'd had so many adventures. Meeting Chichi, Master Roshi, Oolong, Yamcha... It had been the start of it all.

Date: 2017-01-26 09:42 pm (UTC)Trunks kept himself quiet, finished with the food and he felt better. It was nice to see his mother like this---and nice to not be the one she was teasing, for once. "She has a point."

Date: 2017-01-27 12:44 am (UTC)Trunks is nodding, picking up on her trick. "Besides, we might not come back even if he were to ask either of us to travel with him." Then any going along though, is dropped, the solemn expression back as he looks down. "Besides, I'd want to make sure this place is safe. At least safe enough. Especially if we couldn't come back."
Bulma shook her head. "You're underestimating me again. We'd find a way back." Reaching out and brushing a bang from his face, fondly. "I'd find a way." And Trunks didn't doubt his mother at all.
