PSL for Doctor Spazz :D
Title:To come later?
Who: The Tenth Doctor (and the TARDIS), Trunks Briefs (Mirai/Future), others...
What: The TARDIS takes the Doctor where he is needed, not necessarily where he wants to go.
Open/Closed: Closed.
Additional Details:TBD
The TARDIS Sensors indicate Age 787, Planet 4032-877b. More specifically, it's a variant of Earth--not surprising in some ways. But the continents and a map don't match some of the other more modern versions he's been to before. What could be wrong here?
Well, a look-around would tell him that. The city he arrived in looks like its seen better days, to be frank. It's a hive of demolished buildings and streets, debris and abandoned and scrapped vehicles everywhere. While there are hints of greenery, the large city looks like it's not been demolished long enough ago for it to start recovering from inhabitation, but there's certainly no regular inhabitants visible.

A glare back at Smith, then back to watching. No one was dead, yet... A sigh of relief a moment later, when she saw a golden aura start to flare around Trunks as he powered up. Good, it'd provide cover for her--and he hadn't forgotten their contingency plan.
Trunks had put away the sword, studying the android as he started to power up to Super Saiyan mode. "We share the same heritage." Was the casual response, with a bright flare leaving golden hair where purple had been, and green eyes instead of blue. Wasting no time after that, charging once more. This time with a purpose, trying to push the Android back and away. Up, away from them.
It should cover any noise, as she was looking for a suitable space...there. Pointing to another ruin across the street, larger and shaded in the shadow of another building. "There, we go there." She hissed, pulling out the capsule case from her belt as she started to move.

Gonna focus on Bulma/Ten for a moment. ^^
Bulma moving to get the hood open. "Come help me rewire this. If he had to go super saiyan that fast, this opponent is strong." Still whispering, but a louder whisper. Outside were clear shouts of battle, and energy blows being traded. Occasionally an impact and the sound of bodies impacting structures, but it never lasted for long.

"I'm The Doctor. What made the energy spike is my ship out thar. That Police Box. Fell through a crack in the universe. And - we'd both be very smart to get inside her."
no subject
"Our plan, once I've rigged this to blow with a timer, is to get back to Capsule Corp. Right now your box is NOT safe, since there are two very powerful fighters having a battle near it." Talking as she reprogrammed, and accepting his help. "Help me remove the limiters for the hover-tech power source here..." Coding...and some jury-rigging.

Nearly indestructible the TARDIS is.

A resounding crash as something fell, and it sounded closer.
no subject
Afterwards finishes up the rewiring, "Thar."
no subject
"We run for your box, but when this goes off, it'll give Trunks cover too. The original plan was to head back home...." A few more buttons pressed, then she's slamming the hood shut.
no subject
"Well - that was easy."

Whirling, and a finger pointed up at this...doctor. "We have 5 minutes, then that car is going to drive out several feet, and explode. Hopefully that will distract the Android enough that Trunks can power down and hide. So...any ideas how we get my son in here with us, to this...this...safety?" She is torn between anger and fascination.
The sounds of battle are definitely muffled, but it is indeed still raging outside. That last impact had been one demi-saiyan slammed into the ground hard by an Android, and narrowly dodging the follow-up ki blast. Trunks was getting a decent idea that yeah, this android was definitely about as strong as the Android 16 from the past.

Meanwhile, The Doctor is pressing many buttons quickly to see what is online and what isn't.

A sniffle actually made it's way out before Bulma snuffed it down. She missed Goku. She missed Gohan. She missed Vegeta most of all. She missed all of them really, and now... Another deep breath--she could cry later. "Sorry." She murmured, looking at one of the TARDIS walls and apologizing to the machine.

As The Doctor speaks he's lifting up part of the grate beneath his feet and a staircase appears. Give me one minute. Ten walks down and begins messing with the wires and after a minute walks back up and to the dashboard and clasps his hands and there's a big smile on his face and kisses the dashboard. That's his girl!
"Alright. Now - since I don't have any alien DNA samples from this universe. I'm going to have to ask for you to put your finger in this tray. Don't worry won't hurt. The TARDIS is going to analyze your DNA structure so she can scan for anything similar in the area."
Ten does notice that Bulma is sad but now isn't the time for either of their own personal grievings.

"I'm not a saiyan." Was her immediate snapped reply, before the rest of her brain caught up with her mouth. "Wait, but he is my son, so that.." and as she was realizing she went ahead and did what was asked.
2 minutes from explosion, and outside the battle was still going on.
Trunks, even as a super-saiyan, was staying on defense. It was a position he wasn't unused to, and still hated given his upbringing. At least this Android seemed to lack the sadism that 17 and 18 had. They would play games with him, where they were cat and he was mouse, rather than kill him.
This one just seemed to be trying to kill him. It seemed more driven by its purpose than the past version. Given it didn't seem to believe him when he'd shouted that Goku wasn't here, and was dead, in the midst of their trading blows. But since 16 was trying to kill him, Trunks wasn't going to ponder the differences between this one and the past version too heavily yet.
Blocking high, and floating backwards slightly to dodge a kick combo from the android. Trunks retaliated by upping his ki-output in a burst, hoping to give himself some breathing room as he moved swiftly several feet away. Unfortunately 16 was keeping pace--okay...change of plans then. Trunks going on defensive, and lowering his power level a bit. Taking a lesser punch and blow, and using it to vanish and appear behind 16. Then another ki-burst, fueling the kick and managing to drive the android up in the air a decent distance.

Ten begins to type for the TARDIS to lock on his movements and getting the TARDIS ready to teleport.

Took long enough, and Trunks did his best to keep the Android at a distance, trading ki-blasts and dodging as best he could. 16 just was not letting him though, surprising the demi-saiyan with a feint and near-teleporting behind him. Long arms that were like steel wrenched Trunks around by the shoulder to grapple him, then dove for the street.
Internally Trunks winced, and braced himself outwardly as 16 used him as a shield as they skid on the ground and tore up asphalt. He'll be feeling that later, even through his ki-aura. He did manage to twist away and dive-roll for some breathing room, while 16 didn't seem at all perturbed.
Good timing though, as the car rolled out several feet--the movement drawing the androids eyes enough. Trunks recognized what was happening, and pulled at his resources and power, to start flying away and further into West City's ruins. He only had about 2 seconds, as the sudden power-surge drew Android 16's attention anew, and then the car exploded.
Trunks powered down completely, darting and moving to hide in the cover of an old abandoned store. Using the explosion of the hover-tech and car as a distraction. Enough conflicting signals of energy and power radiating, that it was decent cover for 16's eye-scanners, and when the smoke was clearing, the immediate target was gone.

With the coordinates locked on the TARDIS makes the gasping wheezing noise that she always makes when disappearing and the same when she reappears - right over Trunks and takes Trunks right into the TARDIS.
"Hallo. Welcome to the TARDIS."
no subject
Just as the TARDIS materialized around him too, as wary blue-eyes dart around.
Bulma, once visually assuring he was safe and whole, was all questions however. "Wow!" and she is studying the control panel, and trying to find those stairs the Doctor went down. "She is amazing! I've never seen a machine as advanced as this! We haven't been able to do anything close to this for the last few years either except for the time machine!" Babbling as she goes.
Seeing it was safe (or safer anyways) Trunks re-sheaths his weapon as he stands up. First watching his mother, then studying the Doctor again. There is a deep breath in and out. "Thank you." He is polite, at least. "I'd still like those answers though, starting with what just happened?"
Things materializing around him definitely was a new experience.
no subject
Then gives Trunks a silent, 'You're welcome'. "You were materialized inside the TARDIS. I'm The Doctor and I'm from another universe and fell through a crack in time and space when venturing out."
Then eyes at the both of them, "Thar's bedrooms if you'd like to take a nap after all of that." Bunkbeds to be more specific.
no subject
"That said, if you want a job you're hired." Turning around, hands on her hips and wide-grin. "This is way beyond even our resizing technology, and we could use help with rebuilding."
Naps? Who had time for naps? Not now! Trunks relaxed his guard some, moving to look around a bit himself. "Tired, not really. Hungry? Absolutely." Which just made Bulma grin more and laugh a bit. "Always your father's appetite huh?"
no subject
"Follow me to the kitchen then." The Doctor leads the way, if Bulma or Trunks pass by the control panel screen they'll see the dimensional rift and the appropriate time that it's left open.
no subject
Trunks had been following the Doctor and stops with those words, looking at his mother with a questioning look. Bulma just shakes her head, a small smile on her face. "Our friend here, came through a crack in dimensions somehow, and landed here. This is apparently his vehicle for it." Moving to come join the group and head to the kitchen.
