Re: Dungeoneering mission!--Into the Ruins!
Date: 2015-07-11 02:55 am (UTC)Crouching near, still fascinated by the compression she achieved with the braid.
Dungeoneering mission!--Into the Ruins!
Date: 2015-07-11 03:00 am (UTC)"Thank you..." She paused with a smile. "One more thing."
She held out a palm and then flicked her wrist. Water appeared from her finger tips and then up from the earth below Alex soaking him while leaving the fire untouched.
Yuna's smile widened. "Now we are even."
Re: Dungeoneering mission!--Into the Ruins!
Date: 2015-07-11 03:03 am (UTC)Pulling water though, from nothing (like her finger) and the ground? That had him baffled. Even if he accepted 'magic' over all.
Swiping his hand against his face, he was bemused in a different way as he at least stopped his bangs from dripping. "I expected that sooner, I admit. How the hell did you create it out of nothing?"
Re: Dungeoneering mission!--Into the Ruins!
Date: 2015-07-11 03:08 am (UTC)"It's not from nothing. I used my own energy to pull the water from the air and from the ground. Water is all around us." The same was with fire, ice and lighting. They were elements all present around them and even if they are in short supply her own energy would be enough to supplement it.
She started from the bottom of her long braid which already started to unravel and began loosening the tight wrap of hair. She kept a towel in her lap letting her hair drip on the fluffy material.
Re: Dungeoneering mission!--Into the Ruins!
Date: 2015-07-11 03:11 am (UTC)Intellectually, he accepted magic had laws and rules. Could be viewed as a science in its own right as much as an art. But he did not understand it, and it kind of drove him a little crazy when he wasn't purposefully NOT letting it do so.
"I suppose one trick deserves another though." Hands out at his sides, as he let bios-mass flow over him. Slowing it slightly, as he shape-shifted; mostly into his usual clothing rather than uniform. But enough that Yuna could see how his very shape and make-up changed, composed ultimately of red-and-black viral-bio-mass.
Re: Dungeoneering mission!--Into the Ruins!
Date: 2015-07-11 03:32 am (UTC)Once he was finished her focus shifted to her hair which was slowly becoming undone, falling in long silky locks across her lap.
"I haven't seen you do that before. It's..." She paused thinking of the right word. "interesting."
Yuna smiled and then waved Alex closer. "You said you'd help or have you decided to back out?" She gestured to her hair. Now that half of it was out of the braid it was longer and harder to dry.

Date: 2015-07-11 03:34 am (UTC)Dungeoneering mission!--Into the Ruins!
Date: 2015-07-11 03:38 am (UTC)Yuna tossed the extra towel from her shoulders to his lap with a smile. "Can you start drying the ends? I might pull them from you to finish unbraiding this but my hair will start dripping if I let it stay wet."
Re: Dungeoneering mission!--Into the Ruins!
Date: 2015-07-11 03:40 am (UTC)Yet he was nervous, as his fingers moved to carefully start pulling apart the braid.
Dungeoneering mission!--Into the Ruins!
Date: 2015-07-11 04:09 am (UTC)Yuna's hands brush against his as she slowly pulled away from her hair. She wasn't expecting him to want to unravel the mess of brown and feeling the slight tug on her hair makes her cheeks flush a light rosy hue.
She smiles. "I guess you aren't used to long hair?"
Re: Dungeoneering mission!--Into the Ruins!
Date: 2015-07-11 02:47 pm (UTC)"Not with this kind of long hair, Yuna. Most people where I'm from don't have long hair to their ankles. The longest I've seen was just to the top of the hips." It was like something out of a fairy-tale.
Then again, Yuna was often like someone or something out of a fairy-tale, if Alex was being honest.
Re: Dungeoneering mission!--Into the Ruins!
Date: 2015-07-11 07:08 pm (UTC)"I suppose I'm unusual then."
Yuna began to slowly dry the ends of her hair and after a little bit more effort it would be completely down and slowly falling in brown waves. The shades of brown differ but it's dark where its the wettest and that's where Yuna begins to dry first.
"Does it look okay?"
Re: Dungeoneering mission!--Into the Ruins!
Date: 2015-07-12 02:44 am (UTC)"You're worried about how it looks?" Alex asked with some incredulity. It was hair, it looked like hair. It wasn't a horribly tangled mess, and a lot of it was wet. "There are no major knots or tangles. I tried to be careful. You can stand-up and check yourself if you want."
Dungeoneering mission!--Into the Ruins!
Date: 2015-07-12 03:07 am (UTC)It fell in long waves down her back a little crumbled from the dampness that was left behind from the water. The tips of her hair brushed the ground and curled inward slightly at her toes.
"I don't have a mirror." She paused turning slightly as if to show him. "What do you think?" It might but a little odd but Yuna needed him to be a mirror for a moment.
Re: Dungeoneering mission!--Into the Ruins!
Date: 2015-07-12 03:10 am (UTC)As far as he was concerned, she really was like something out of a fairy-tale, with her hair falling down around her and framing her the way it was. Made him feel slightly nervous, and he wasn't entirely sure why at first. Took him a few seconds where he was focused on trying to puzzle out that reaction and get his brain back to working properly.
Then he blinked so he wasn't staring anymore, and tilted his head. "It doesn't look tangled from here. I am still definitely impressed that you compress it into the tail you do." He meant that--because that was not an easy feat as far as he was concerned. "Were you worried about anything specifically with it?"
Dungeoneering mission!--Into the Ruins!
Date: 2015-07-12 03:18 am (UTC)"I suppose if it looks alright." Yuna ran her fingers through her hair letting the long brown strains fall back into place behind her. Then she smiled, her cheeks flushing a slight red. "Thank you for saying so. It takes a long time to braid. Once it's dry I'll have to put it back up. I can teach you."
She could sleep in it since she assumed that Alex would suggest they rest next but then it would get all tangled.

Date: 2015-07-12 03:19 am (UTC)Dungeoneering mission!--Into the Ruins!
Date: 2015-07-12 03:48 am (UTC)Yuna slowly moved back next to the fire, happy for it's heat as she pushed her long hair over her shoulder and into her lap. It looks more than alright. She wanted to know how much more but she also didn't want to ask.
She looked over a him. "Do you think I should leave it down for a while? It takes time to braid."
Re: Dungeoneering mission!--Into the Ruins!
Date: 2015-07-12 07:20 pm (UTC)Pulling a towel over, he was careful of not pulling hard as he moved to dry other parts of her hair. Developing a rhythm almost. Carefully rub or pat dry a section, then finger comb it gently and smooth it.
Re: Dungeoneering mission!--Into the Ruins!
Date: 2015-07-14 01:05 am (UTC)Yuna looked over at him watching his expression as he intently dries her hair. “You know, a lot of people don’t know this is my hair. I think that’s why I braid it so tight.” It was something that was hers and she wasn’t used to having things that belonged to her. It was a little odd maybe but it was special in a way.
She blushed realizing she had just admit that to Alex and then shook her head. “It’s silly.”
Re: Dungeoneering mission!--Into the Ruins!
Date: 2015-07-14 02:33 am (UTC)It was her hair after all, she could do what she wanted with it.
Besides, brushing his fingers through it--it felt like silk. Heightened senses included touch, and it was so damn soft. Soothing to him, peaceful, and he was hoping she'd let him do this again sometime.
"There's an old fairy tale, about a girl trapped in a tower. She was famous for her long hair. Long enough that when it was braided, it could be used as a rope for entrance to the tower."
Re: Dungeoneering mission!--Into the Ruins!
Date: 2015-07-14 11:18 pm (UTC)Her head canted to the side curiously, her gaze on Alex as he intently brushed her hair. "Will you tell it to me?"
Re: Dungeoneering mission!--Into the Ruins!
Date: 2015-07-15 11:10 pm (UTC)"Why do you think it's silly, that you care about this being your hair?" Careful as he took up the towel once more and rubbed some of her hair between it to dry more.
Dungeoneering mission!--Into the Ruins!
Date: 2015-07-16 03:15 am (UTC)"I just don't talk about my hair often." She paused. "Or let people see it." Or touch it, she thought to herself as she watched Alex pamper the silky locks with his gentle touch. "So, will you tell me the story?"
Re: Dungeoneering mission!--Into the Ruins!
Date: 2015-07-18 04:57 am (UTC)Pat-dry with towel, then finger-comb. Sections at a time, as it was soothing. Occasionally he'd catch a whiff of something too, as he moved his fingers through the strands. Light, faintly shimmery, but barely there and gone too fast to make sense of for him.
"Say please." Teasing her, smirking. He'd tell her the story, he was just having fun in the mean time.
