A moment later white optics shift to his shorter companion again, a far too long arm reaches out and a metal hand is placed at Cassian's lower back. It's almost as if Kay wants to make sure Cassian is real, as if he wants to make sure his touch sensors aren't messed up like his databanks.
It's been months but he doesn't remember any of it. His last clear memories are about them telling their friend that they were going to explore the planet, to look after their pets. Then...Nothing. Flashed of images here and there but nothing clear. Cassians' face, rocks, maybe spirits, a sky full of stars he doesn't recognize...all blurry and mixed and undetailed.
