Exactly what it says in the title. A meme dedicated to sexy-sparring and gym-scenarios. Roll a Dice, or pick your favorite prompt.

1--Workout-buddies. Need a spotter? maybe just someone to help you stretch. Or watch your technique.
2--Sparring. Because getting physical one way can lead to getting physical in another way. You're not trying to hurt your partner, just train. Your body heat rises, heart races, breathing faster--and in some pretty close positions.
3--Cool-down. Stretching, lighter exercise, maybe even help cleaning up or putting things away. A chance to potentially deal with un-resolved tension.
4--Aftermath. Clean-up in the showers, changing clothes, dealing with potential minor-injuries. Comfort and care of one kind might lead to comfort/care of another.

"That is not what I said, and you know it." Head snapping back towards her, eyes narrowing slightly in challenge. "Honestly, I feel like you'd suffer more with me." A snort. "After all, I don't get your references most of the time, I have no clue what a normal life is like, never mind my clothing..."

A sigh, and leaning his head down. "I can't always tell if you're actually acting, or really are that upset with me, given how we squabble."

"I don't act," she corrects him. While her expressions may be confusing, Chinatsu didn't lie about them. She had varying levels of upset, and sometimes she wasn't even upset at all. Her embarrassment just came out that way sometimes. But the way he put himself down like that..

"You didn't answer my question."

Again he was quiet, before taking in a deep breath, and exhaling. Eyes closed, finding some semblance of his center. "Being paired with you would not be the worst. There are so many here I can think of whom I would not do nearly as well with, as with you, when it comes to working together."

He meant it, every word.

Chinatsu stays silent, not looking up at him reacting much. She simply gives a soft huff, seemingly accepting his answer. Not that that made her happy or anything.

The huff, oddly, made him smile. Tiny, but there and amused and genuine. Mostly because the reaction was just so....her. "Everything's a battle with you, isn't it?" That hint of tease again, and Trunks meant it rhetorically.

Especially since he was quiet again, before adding. "Feeling steadier?" Because she was still leaning on him, sitting in his lap, and he was trying to ignore that it felt very comfortable. Having her that close.

Oh right. She was still on him--- and up she went. Probably too fast though, because she found herself falling right back down onto him. "Crap--!"

Welp--that answered that question, and her second fall was at least more controlled. Moving his arms, coming out of the leaning position to gently grasp, then slide one arm under her own and against her back, while the other went under her legs. Helping control that fall, almost like he'd carry her, when she fell back.

"Guess not." Accompanied with a small amused sound, and a head-shake. "I pity any obstacles in your way. You just don't give up." But Trunks didn't sound like he minded.

What was this? A shoujo manga where the girl falls for no apparent reason or a dumb one anyway and lands on the love interest? Not--that Trunks was a love interest. Which is what made this more embarrassing. "Y-you're the one that told me to get up!"

No he wasn't.

It was definitely something--and neither of her references would make much sense to Trunks, although he'd learned about manga thanks to her. Not that he didn't know what comic books were before, but what he'd regained of his memories said he hadn't had much time for them in life. "No, I asked if you were feeling steadier. I think we have an answer for that."

Patient, steady and calm--mostly to keep himself calm. "You do know, I don't think any the less of you." Voice softer, head leaning against her own. "You have nothing you need to prove to me, you know that right?"

There was something about the pressure against her head that made her calm down, at least a little bit. Which might be why she wasn't commenting on it. "Who said I was trying to prove anything to you," she mutters. Chinatsu knows he's too nice and honorable a guy.

"What're you trying to prove to yourself, Chinatsu?" It was a logical question, and it could be as simple as that she thrived on a challenge. Trunks understood that tendency very well as it was one he shared. While he didn't necessarily like fighting, competition and testing oneself was something he did enjoy. Part of why they squabbled, honestly, since usually it seemed like neither of them was doing it to actually hurt the other.

"You're strong, and capable, and intelligent. You're stubborn--which is a good and bad thing both. You're graceful, and put-together, and poised."

Before he can finish both her hands are over his mouth, and with this angle she's unable to hide how red her face is as she glares at him. "E-enough already!" She knew it wasn't mere flattery coming from him...which...made it worse. "You...I already know that!" It's one thing to think of yourself that way, but hearing it from others--well--hearing it from him was just....

She could feel the slight frown, see it in his eyes. All but hear the unspoken question so what ARE you trying to prove? to whom? in the glare and expression. But he also meant every word, and didn't move to stop her or remove her hands.

Just continued to hold and support her, while they sat on the gym's floor, with her in his arms.

There might as well have been subtitles above his head with how clear his thoughts were.

"...Look...I just..I'm behind enough as it is. I need to work twice as hard if I want to keep up.." Especially if she wanted to be useful to Shun. Everyone else seemed experienced with fighting but her.

She can see the eye-roll, and feel the little huff of disagreement her comment brings. But it goes deeper than that, and he knows it. Which is why now he moved his hand, away from her legs and up to pull her hands away softly. Holding them in his.

"You're keeping up just fine. Not everyone is a fighter, and that's okay. I'll be the first to admit I have no CLUE what Heaven's thinking by bringing us all here, Gods and Shinki both. BUT..."

Meeting her gaze, making sure she can see his. "We all seem to come from different worlds, some more different than others." Look at Celestia; everyone was a pony in her world, with only a few variations--including no humans.

"You're a very talented fighter, for someone whom as far as I can tell--came to it late in life. You're also everything I said before, and hard-working. I don't think Nekhbet could ask you to BE a more devoted shinki."

"...........You're doing it again," she mutters, but her body relaxes more. His words were somewhat comforting.

A blink, and an eyebrow raise. "I'm doing what again?" Because he is perplexed. What did he do now?

"You know--! That...thing you do..." Specific. So specific.

"Nevermind. Just...I'm not fishing for compliments or anything, okay? I'm fine like this."

This being..what exactly? In his arms? Because what she just spouted out is slowly starting to register.

Oh yes, that is so specific, much helpful, really.

His mouth quirked up in a smirk before he replied. "Oh I know you're not. You'd actually do better at proper fishing, than looking for compliments. You don't need compliments either." She was good, and she knew it.

Was...that supposed to be a compliment?

“Uh, not sure about actually fishing—“ That sounded like such an old people thing to do. “But...thanks?”

Shaking his head, that smirk remained. "If you want fishing, talk to Caster. Seems to be a favorite hobby of his. Just watch out for the kappa."

It was a compliment, and the truth, Chinatsu. Accept it.

Like she said, and old man hobby. “Ka—okay, now you sound like an old man.”

"Hey, I already had to save his butt from one." Trunks protested, with that smirk now crossed with a grin. "You'd never let me hear the end of it if I had to do the same for you."

Never mind she was still sitting in his lap, held against him.

"Well you don't need to worry about that since there's no way I'd go fishing." She laughs back. "Do I need to save yours from one one day?"

Yeah, she kind of forgot about that bit.

"I think you'd find them a challenge." Trunks teased, laughing softly. "You do seem to thrive on challenge though, so maybe we should go Kappa-hunting."

Hey, she's kind of comfy--at least she's held and cradled in a way that's comfortable and he doesn't mind. She's warm and lithe-curves and a hint of her scent is coming to his nose under the sweat and salt from training.
