Despite either of them lacking memories, given some of the other shinki and their abilities--it was suspected that Trunks (and Goten and some others) came from worlds where baseline-human was different than other places. Y'know, besides just different references in pop-culture, but also abilities. Really there were interesting variations and at least some one had started a pet project trying to catalogue it.

Didn't matter, because even though he was generally stronger and faster than Chinatsu, leverage still worked along with momentum and practice. Besides just that they had both been at this for a couple of hours with only sporadic breaks. It means when he goes down, he went down--noticing that it had taken a good deal of her own strength to do that.

Good thing Chinatsu was in very good shape. It was also probably time for another break, which is the other reason he didn't fight the 'pin'. Both of them are sweaty, clothes sticking to skin, and hair mussed and damp. His breathing isn't as ragged though.

Eventually, Mai had just helped Trunks set up a small gym on her grounds. She was incredibly tolerant of the fact that her shinki was...well...he was a warrior. Maybe an odd choice for a shinki for the Goddess of Children, but it worked well. So he had his own space, for his own practice and others.

Not that the blue mats were comfortable. But they were less harsh than the ground outside, and certainly less scratchy against sweaty skin that grass was.

"What, sitting on me while I did push-ups wasn't enough?"

Because that's how Chinatsu'd found him. Working with another shinki who's vessel form, like Temeraire, was humanoid when they were not. Part of helping that shinki adapt involved getting them used to their body, which meant basics. Trunks had ignored it when, after Chinatsu'd shown up and greeted them, she just smirked. And sat on his back, and proceeded to tease him.

The squabbling was actually almost affectionate, and the other shinki (a rabbit in her normal form) took it as a sign that the two were good friends. Unfortunately she couldn't keep herself from giggling, and asked to be released early.
