PSL--Explorer's Setting (New Crew arriving!)
The Explorer's Craft was a smaller ship--maxed at 15 people. The Arethusa was nice for all of that, and still in the early stages of its Exploration. Only 1/3rd staffed, it had just brought on two new crew-members.
Current Crew consisted of Professor John Robinson as the Captain, Gune in Engineering, "Nurse" Joy in Medical, and general crew members Jayne Cobb and Turanga Leela. It seemed an easy going (mostly) ship, and the current crew was treated to an announcement on their Omni-band at the arrival of 2 new crew-members along with their vital-statistics (height, weight, age, place of origin, general skills). Professor Robinson seemed fairly hands off and willing to delegate things, as the Arethusa was currently en-route. Their 'mission' for this exploration was to visit a resort planet, and study it's economy and how it remained so Utopian. Gune was nice, if easily distractable, and the only 'obvious' alien although some suspected Leela. Jayne mostly spent his time verbally sparring with Leela or keeping to himself, while Nurse Joy simply seemed content and willing to help. Curious at times, and clearly intelligent, but she wasn't one to make waves if they weren't needed.
Information on the Omniband
Name:
Age:
Height/Weight:
Place of Origin:
Skills:
Each crew-member wakes up in their bunk, wearing the ship's uniform. They will have some possessions from home. (The uniform is generally black boots, blue BDU pants and Jacket with a name patch, and a black t-shirt or tank-top underneath.) Each crew-member also posesses an omni-band. A small ring-like device that is designed to be worn like a collar or a bracelet, and that can be expanded or contracted. It may act as a communicator and mini-computer.

Waking up in a strange bed, in strange clothing would be more worrying, if Trunks didn't have clear memory of the strange beings (who vaguely remembered, and felt, like Kais) approaching him. It had seemed like a dream, but it wasn't at the same time. Still, the first thing he's going to do is check to make sure of what he has from home. Jacket, clothes, capsule case, and his sword. Apparently the beings saw fit to repair it, which was nice of them.
The room was fairly simple--bed, desk, closet and storage trunk. Seemed it had a small shower and toilet too. The uniform wasn't too bad, a few experimental strikes and stretches, and he could move well-enough. Maybe it was time to go explore the ship and maybe meet the other crew.

A common area that contained a food replicator and kitchen supplies was a welcome sight to him, considering his body's appetite from his Saiyan heritage. It seemed it was also used as a quiet area, as Leela was reading and relaxing there. She also was pleased to meet him, if a bit sarcastic. Something about her though, definitely reminded him of his mother. From the stories she told of her adventures when she was younger. He didn't stay though as he headed out to the main deck for the lower-levels of the ship.

Head tilted, studying her, then it clicked. She must be the other new arrival. "No problem there." Trunks replied with a small smile, still steadying her. "First time on a spaceship?"

"Sounds like a rude awakening." Yeah, just gonna keep that hand on her upper arm to help steady her. "While I've never been on a space ship before, I've been on and in things close enough that while this is new, it's not that different." Just gonna casually keep walking, hoping they can find a place she can sit.

She's in decent hands, as he's pretty sure he can keep her upright. Not too long before they were overlooking another small set of stairs against a railing that overlooked a large open space. Looked like a loading dock, but against the wall were low couches and some bean-bag chairs.
"Give it time, you might remember." A shrug of the shoulder which isn't the side he's steadying her on as he starts for those stairs. "It's...fuzzy. Kind of like a dream for me, but it's a chance I can't pass up." Determination there, and hints of a story.

It helped that they were near-equal in height, so shifting slightly down a step meant he could catch her. It was a good position to keep her from falling more as well. Normally he'd also be a lot more shy, but she was clearly not okay. He'll apologize later if he needs to; crisis now.
"You said you came in bleeding right? Sure you should be up and about already?"

“Maybe.” Trunks commented, frowning slightly. Considering his position, it wasn't hard to scoop his free hand under her knees and haul her up to gently carry her. “Have you been to medical yet?” Even if she hasn't, he's turning back the way they came and heading for the upper levels.
Thea weighed almost nothing compared to what he could lift, and she needed help. Headstrong, but she wasn't the first person Trunks had met who was like that. (He was guilty of it himself too at times, as were both of his parents.) She shouldn't even be jostled as he walked, his hold quite secure.

Still keeping that steady gait, doing his best to minimize movement in case she's still dizzy. Not hard to locate Medical, and the scene walking in is rather amusing. A taller man in the blue slacks and black tee of their uniforms is sitting on a bed, being bandaged somewhat to his protest around his shoulder and arm. "I'm tellin ya, it really ain't that bad. I've been through plenty worse, Joy."
Their nurse's bright pink hair contrasted nicely to the explorer's uniform. Her smile was friendly and open, even as she continued to wrap bandages around Jayne's upper arm. "Even if you have Mr. Cobb, that doesn't mean it shouldn't be treated."
"What's with this Mister Cobb stuff Joy? I told you." Attempting to lean closer, with what he thought was a charming smile on his face. "You can drop the formalities darlin'."

Suddenly the pair of them are the center of attention; Nurse Joy only sparing a brief look before she tapes the bandage around Jayne's arm. "Don't stress it Mr. Cobb, and keep it clean. No heavy-lifting for a few days either." She admonished, bringing his attention back to her.
"Take away all my fun why don'tcha." Came the not-quite sullen reply as he hopped off the medical bed and stood, eyeing the two newcomers over now. A side-smirk coming to his face. "Must be the newbies. Sure you wanna advertise that kind of thing so openly Pretty Boy?"
"Excuse me?" Was Trunks's only reply, coming more fully in to place Thea on one of the other beds. Nurse Joy offered her a smile. "Don't mind Mr. Cobb. Some people hide their pain with bravado." She commented, before introducing herself. "I'm Nurse Joy. Welcome to the Arethusa Ms. Queen. What happened?" All business, even if she's paying attention too.
Jayne's smirk only grew a bit as he sauntered over and leaned his good-arm on a shelf, towering over Trunks. "That ain't the kinda thing nice ladies should know right away. On yer patch."
Yep, the BDU jacket had their last names on a patch on the breast pocket. Jayne's own read "Cobb", while Trunks bore "Briefs".
"That's my last name, Mr. Cobb." Polite, even if it was clear Trunks had his guard up now. He could tell when he was being tested, and clearly this crew-member meant to try and play 'who was the alpha male'.

"Please, just call me Trunks?" Said crew-member in question murmured, to Jayne's continued amusement. Slapping his hand over his heart. "Clear Skies boy, whoever named ya musta been drunk or somethin'. Musta been bullied a lot growing up too."
Jayne had the biggest shit-eating grin as he continued to probe.
Trunks just held himself steady and tall, refusing to rise to the bait. He'd been bullied far more than the other man would ever know, but it could wait. They should try to get along at least. "She almost crashed into me, and then we were walking down to the Loading Dock, when she tripped." Ignoring Jayne's remarks in favor of giving Nurse Joy that information.
"I see." Joy murmured, as she'd run the wand-scanner along but away from Thea's side. A friendly smile. "The good news is, whatever happened, our hosts saw fit to heal you on your arrival. Likely the rush of whatever happened, along with the sudden healing and new circumstances caused the vertigo."

Jayne wouldn't admit it, but he was mildly impressed a bit. Didn't mean he'd *show* it, or let up. "Think babysittin's light enough duty for me Joy? I can watch her."
Joy's smile stayed in place, but there was a hint of amusement in her eyes as the smile grew. "But Mr. Cobb, if she does feel faint or dizzy, I don't think you should be lifting or carrying her in your state."
"Pfft." Jayne looked mildly insulted, hands on his hips and chin up. "She wouldn't be heavy, little thing like her."
"She has a name. Thea." Trunks commented quietly but firm all the same.
Joy's smile stayed the same, expression as serene as ever--but with a hint of steel under the tone. "Be that as it may, Mr. Cobb--Trunks has clearly shown he's capable of handling it. If that's okay with you Ms. Queen."

"Time ta 'adjust'..." Jayne snorted, eyeing them. "Sure sure. Ya know where to find me if ya need something Joy." Another smirk and hint of challenge as he eyed Trunks once more. "Call me if ya need help, Pretty Boy."
Nurse Joy just smiled, but with that hint of steel again. "I'm sure he's able to watch Ms. Queen and make sure she rests. I can leave it in your hands, right Trunks?" Hands clasped in front of her, expecting his agreement.
Going from holding himself and resisting the urge to rise to the bait Jayne shot at him, and then to being given an order took him a moment. "Ye-yes." A little taken aback, like he hadn't expected to be given the task.
"Then it's settled. Besides, it can be quite an adjustment for all of us, arriving here." Clear that Nurse Joy was having the last word, as she turned her attention back to Jayne. "Actually Mr. Cobb, I would like your help with something..."
The taller man perked up with a hint of grin, as she lead the way further into medical.
Coming over to Thea, now that the initial crisis was over, Trunks relaxed a little and seemed almost awkward.
