She didn’t have time to give him a proper hello, even as he guided her back towards the Pagoda. She was confused and in that state she had forgotten why she had run at all.
The moment her sandals hit the hard wood of the steps she let her kimono fall, dropping around her as the layers of silk drape over her thin frame. She’s certainly grown up but the teenage defiance hasn’t left her stare as she looked up at her father.
She looked so much like her mother.
“I don’t need a chaperone.” Bodyguard was something that she probably did need but she didn’t need someone looking over her like the shadow she knew Vincent to be. There are times within WRO that she felt Reeve sent Vincent just because he could handle her. It wasn’t really a compliment, not that she minded the stoic ex. Turk following her around. Vincent was an interesting guy and unlike the others she didn’t really find his tendencies creepy. He was an individual which couldn’t really be seen in others nowadays.
Yuffie sighs softly, relenting the issue of a chaperone and focusing on something that she might be able to change. “Can I at least choose who I marry? If I promise to meet them can I pick someone else?” Her tone didn’t whine or beg; she was merely asking and hoping that her father might have her happiness in mind. Though she expected that there was a time limit and the truth was she couldn’t think of anyone who she’d consider as a husband. If he asked for an example she was in trouble.
Through all this Yuffie knew that Vincent, for all his shadowiness, was probably going to say nothing and let her talk to her father. She wasn’t really counting on his support.
