She hadn't been 'Special Inquistor' in many months though, by her own admission. It had indeed hit him, arms wrapped around an attractive woman, whom he had just been kissing and nuzzling rather single-mindedly. Not a situation he'd ever found himself in, or thought he'd be in except perhaps in long-ago-day-dreams and dreams. Always with some nebulous 'partner', never a specific picture of a person...

Swallowing, Trunks moved one hand up to brush his fingers through her hair. Encouraging her to lean against his shoulder again. "I..Uh...I didn't expect that to happen." He didn't sound upset; a bit shy, but definitely with warmth in his voice.

"Nor did I," she admitted. "Though I think we may have been trying to reach that point without our own awareness."

It had come easily enough. Stolen kisses had turned into something more, it seemed, and though it might all be terribly embarrassing, it was also terribly nice.

"If you keep that up I might almost be inclined to let my hair down one a month or so."

"I..I mean, it...wouldn't surprise me." Yep, that blush isn't going away anytime soon. That they'd been sort of trying to get to that point unconsciously. It made sense in his mind, being a normal part of attraction and seeking a physical closeness also being a normal part of attraction.

She did feel very nice in his arms though, lean strength and lithe curves using him as a pillow and cushion. "You do have very nice hair." It was what his brain seized on for coherency, fingers stroking her nape gently and teasing the strands there. Head turned, and his brush was positively scarlet. "...I very much enjoyed this too."

Not simply the sparring, although that had been fun as well.

"Even if I keep it up all the time, I do try to take care of it." She was sort of leaning on this topic as one to keep herself grounded a little, lest she think too much about how she was half-straddling, half-lying atop him. Because that felt nice, and she wanted to enjoy it rather than feel self-conscious. "Though I've always thought yours to be pleasant as well. I almost regret seeing it change."

He might also have been doing similarly, to keep himself from focusing too much on their positioning. She was warm, and it was very pleasant even while he was trying hard to not focus TOO much on it as well. Tightening his arm around her waist and hip, both because he wanted to and to offer reassurance to her.

"I...got my mom's hair and eye-color, although hers is more blue than mine. MY father has black hair, and it's spiked up all the time. It seems to be a saiyan-thing."

Trying to not let himself overthink it, Trunks leaned his head up, nuzzling and placing soft kisses against her forehead and crown. "I can only imagine it takes a good amount of work, keeping it this nice."

That felt -- incredibly nice, strangely. Perhaps because normally she wore her hat, which kept most sensations from ever reaching there...

"Some fair amount, yes. I do consider maintaining good looks to be an important part of being such a prominent public figure as I am."

"I'm not sure I could handle that kind of pressure. I have enough trouble sometimes, with the people who know my mom or my's role during the Android's Reign." Especially those who knew his own, and expected him to be some kind of great hero-savior. Trunks had always just considered that it was something only he could do, and he had to do his best. He wasn't a hero, not like Goku. He most definitely wasn't a savior, or he'd have been able to do something sooner.

"But, as you pointed out yourself, Morag." Still blushing, but Trunks tried to meet her eye without turning more red. "You haven't been Special Inquisitor here, so not exactly a public figure anymore."

To that she sighed slightly, lowering her gaze and shutting her eyes. Which ought to also help quench the tension just a touch.

"I may not have been acting as Special Inquisitor, but it's as much a part of my identity as my right arm. Or being a Driver, which perhaps might explain why missing both such things has me so off-balance regularly. But then I do not think you find my identity, even that part of it, too objectionable..."
