bloodypast: (Sad Truth)

Silence reigned once more, and as she was not looking at him, she could not see his eyes. As usual, the rest of Vincent's expression was stoic as he pondered all she said and did not say. Studying her own expression once more, turning things over in his mind.

The scrape of wood against wood heralded him getting to his feet. Coming over to her once more, and Vincent took her hands in his own. "Regardless, neither of us can change the past. Only look back and pray we'd done differently." Oh how well he understood, voice once more going quieter but still warm. "Regardless, I am alive. We must sort out Crystallis, before we can worry about Gaia."

Which meant that he would worry over Chaos later. For all that she'd spoken, all the implications and explanations, what mattered still--at least as far as Vincent was choosing to focus on, was that she had done her best to ensure he lived. Without her actions, he would not be here--whether that would have saved him pain or no who could say?

"Is there anything else you feel can not wait until you've rested more?" Because still, he was concerned over her health. Especially if time was running out for those heroes with a white crystal. All the more precious, even with all the potential hazards between them and need to move slowly.
