LET'S GO TO THE FAIR MEME
LOCATIONS
1. COUNTY/STATE FAIR From the hokey to the bright and brilliant, you've been waiting for this all year! Are those rides up to code? Can you find the perfect fair food? Damn, those churros look good.
2. REN/PIRATE FAIRE Is something a little older your style? Try out a Renaissance or a pirate faire! You can dress up like the times or just be a civilian passing through. Mead, turkey legs, butt grabbing...
3. AMUSEMENT PARK Screw fairs, you want to go to Disneyland! Or Legoland, or Universal Studios... Whatever, you just want to go to the REAL THING. Elitest. You're not better than us.
4. HAUNTED CARNIVAL You thought this was a normal fair, but something seems... off. Are the ghosts fake or are they real? Does that guy have fangs? What the hell is this, Scooby Doo?
5. MUSIC FESTIVAL Who needs fairs when you can go to a venue and pay $40 for a t-shirt and watch thirty bands in one day and get heat exhaustion while drinking cheap beer? That's what we thought.
6. HOLIDAY FAIR It's Halloween! Or Christmas! You want to see pumpkin carving! Or Santa Claus! Whatever, man. You just like holidays.
SCENARIOS
1. RIDES The Tilt-a-Whirl costs how many tickets? This had better be worth it.
2. FOOD Holy shit, you have to try this chocolate covered, deep-fried ice cream! We'll stand by with some paddles.
3. EXHIBITS You want to look at photography? Art? Some kid's ode to his dog made of popsicle sticks? Let's go for it.
4. ANIMALS Are those tiny pigs wearing JACKETS and running a RACE? We have to go right now. Alternatively, pay to see the world's biggest live alligator. Her name is Susy.
5. GAMES You really want to win that giant unicorn but for some reason, the pins won't fall over even when you hit them dead-center. Is this rigged?
6. ROMANCE Whether it's the tunnel of love, jousting for someone's hand, or just sitting around sharing a dessert, we've got you covered on the date front.
7. MASCOTS Maybe you want to meet Mickey. Or Santa. Or, I don't know, whatever the hell that dude over there in a suit is. Careful though, a lot of times little kids can be real scared.
8. CONTESTS Baking contest? Are there funny notes in the grading cards for some of them? Maybe you want to look at how some nerd set a table. Check them out, try to steal one of the blue ribbons, whatever.
9. SHOPPING Everything here is SO COOL. Did you see that light up headband? That shirt with an emoji on it? Seriously, what will they think of next? Just don't get swindled out of your money!
10. CONCERTS This is it, this is the good stuff. You wanted some music and now you've got it; what kind of music is your jam? Will you be sitting comfortably or are you going to meet someone in the pit?
If your scenario doesn't match the location, make something up or pick a different one, we won't tell! As always, these are just suggestions. Make up anything you want, as long as you're having fun!

( Jyushi is caught in a heated discussion in front of a carnival game stall on the midway; good thing none of his other friends are around to see him lose this argument with a small child and her mother. The stuffed pig in his hands is being pulled on by the little girl insistently, begging to have her instead 'cause she's younger and cuter.
He's tall and dressed fashionably, maybe even cutting an intimidating figure to some ... were it not for the hard loss of this ... fight. He sniffs loudly, tears in his eyes, wiping at them with the back of his hand before the little girl rips away the stuffed pig and sprints.
Jyushi wails: )
A-amanda ... !

Excuse me!
[She hadn't seemed to raise her voice, but it was still a voice all children know. The "mom" voice. Stopping the little girl from her sprint, as Morticia glided over, one hand with the parasol shading her and the other out to the side.]
Would you kindly tell me what is going on here?
[Addressed to all three of them, although the other mother was clearly looking warily at Morticia. The little girl was too, moving to hide behind her mother now.]

She ... She took Amanda! I can't blame anyone for wanting her, she's beautiful a-and such a good listener!
( Might be weird for an eighteen year old boy to be saying this, but he's getting more and more upset and cannot be assed to care at the moment. )
And precious to me! I didn't win her at the carnival, I've had her for so long, I ... I'm so sorry, I can't bear to part with her ... !

[Morticia said patiently, turning to the mother and her little girl. Her head tilted, and she moved gracefully to bend somewhat. To not be quite so intimidating, hopefully, and to give the little girl her attention.]
Does Amanda belong to this young man?
[The mother started to say something and dark-eyes darted up to meet the other matron's pair. Whatever the matron had been going to say died without being spoken, before Morticia moved her gaze back to the younger girl. Patient and kind, with an understanding smile.]
I simply wish for the truth, so that I can help you both be happy.

It seems the mother doesn't quite know what to do, until she's simply ushering her child away from the strangely dressed pair.
Jyushi sobs as he hugs onto Amanda, but at least this time it's happy tears. )
Th ... Thank you ... !!
( He bows at the waist, Amanda held to his side for just a moment. Sniffing, he clutches her to his chest again, looking much brighter than before, though his eyes still look watery. )
I'm in your debt! M-my name is Jyushi Aimono, I ... Rep Nagoya ...
( He trails off a little, though, uncertain if one of his usual introductions would mean much to her or not. )

Straightening herself up with a soft sigh, Morticia was once more under her parasol fully as she turned to the young man. So formal, and she smiled a bit, charmed.]
It's quite all right. She is obviously quite special to you.
[A graceful semi-dip into a courtesy, with Morticia inclining her head.]
It is nice to meet you Mr. Aimono. I hope I am getting your name correct and I apologize if I am not. I am Mrs. Addams.

( Quite suddenly, his voice takes on a more theatrical tone than before. It deepens and adopts a grand sort of quality; so too do his gesticulations turn wide and sweeping. )
Your gesture of kindness to one so cursed and entwined with the night as I will never be forgotten! You need only say the word, our dark pact is our bond and I, Fourteenth Moon, am at your service!
( But then the sound of distant crying gets him to pause; he dips at the knees a little, suddenly made teary again at the mere sound of a child's sadness. It must be the little girl; she's wailing to her mom she wants something like Amanda herself.
Jyushi looks between Morticia and the distant spot where the girl and her parent are. He seems to know what to do, glancing to a nearby game with a colorful array of prizes. )
... I wouldn't ... I wouldn't feel right if I didn't try to win her a prize ... Her mother seemed to want to leave more than anything, it feels mean ...
no subject
And here I thought you were a shy young man...
[A soft tease in her words, eyes sparkling in amusement.]
I am married also, despite your charming words.
[Definitely still teasing him, with the playful smile.]
I had meant to help her as well, as neither of you needed to be upset. And I can't say I'm surprised by her mother's reaction, though it always puzzles me. Wouldn't a concerned mother recognize another concerned mother, after all?
[Ah well. A soft sigh, her free hand up to her cheek in thought and slight dismay.]
I am willing to provide you the funds to attempt so, if you wish to take that course. If not, we can always find my husband, Gomez. I am quite sure he could win a prize for a young lady in distress.
no subject
( HE'S GAY AS A PICNIC BASKET. He shakes his head, waving a hand in embarrassment before she's moving on to address his earlier sentiment. He's horrified, but as she's breezing past the marriage sentiment, so should he.
His face is notably heated, though. )
I ... I want to try! I'm not the best at this sort of thing myself, but I wouldn't want to trouble your ... Your husband ...
( He comes to look over one of the stalls and the one adjacent before deciding on the dart toss. )
I can do it! I will do it! A ... Are you the type to play these, though ... ?
( Just in case he or her husband, when he's located, cannot secure a prize. He's just that kind of anxious sometimes. )
no subject
Mr. Aimono, I apologize--I did not mean to tease you this badly.
[Her apology and then sailing on as if it had never happened.]
I have no doubt that you will. I'll enjoy the game for my own sake. Perhaps I'll win a prize for Gomez, after all. Or my children, or Lurch. Lurch does so much, and while we make sure he knows he is appreciated and he is properly compensated, he might like a new stuffed friend.
no subject
( Move past it, but he doesn't say that, instead passing a hand over his face, as though to wipe away the embarrassment and continue.
Sometimes it really is that easy, especially if she's being kind ... )
... Lurch?
( Is it too familiar to ask? Either way, that's quite the name. )
I can ... try to win as much as I can ... As a thank you for saving Amanda.
( Tongue stuck out of his mouth, he throws a dart. It misses, but he's undeterred; lining up the second shot, he misses that too ... )
no subject
Lurch is our butler. A dear, though very soft spoken.
[Explaining, before she's standing right by him encouragingly.]
Consider these practice rounds! I know you'll get it~~
